Software Asset Advisors has a proven process that drives results. The process has four phases:


Engagement Validation

This initial step starts with a general customer meeting. We validate the current state and collect some basic information on the customer and the license in scope. We then review and provide a statement of work tailored to the customer's needs.


Discovery Phase

This phase is all about collecting customer data relevant to the project. Items such as current contract stack, identification of key players at the vendor, current license deployments and future requirements are the main focus of this phase.


Analysis

The Analysis Phase is where the deep knowledge of the licensing is joined with the customer’s needs and contract position. Once we know the current state, we analyze the data to identify future direction for the optimized licensing. In a Microsoft Enterprise Agreement we provide six year models by product to provide direction. We also provide negotiation strategy and tactics to best negotiate with Microsoft. In a Microsoft Audit project we outline the estimated license position showing current deployments, current purchases and any deficiencies.


Negotiation / Remediation

This phase is all about working with the vendor to align the customer’s contract position with the customer’s needs and customer’s use of the software. We provide a clear data driven document that begins with the estimated license position, documents changes and provides a rationale to support the optimized license state.
